The Intersection is a rock band from Santa Clara, California, drawing on classic rock and blues, Stax and Atlantic soul, and Brazilian music. Those influences come through in guitar-driven songs built around melody, feel, and arrangements that favor space over clutter.

Their debut album, Beginning Is Here, was tracked to analog tape and finished in high-resolution digital, with vintage equipment playing a central role in the sessions. The approach was simple: capture strong performances, keep the edges intact, and let the studio shape the sound rather than smooth it out.

Across ten songs, the record balances immediacy with detail. The hooks land quickly, but there is more underneath — a guitar part just behind the vocal, a rhythmic shift, a harmony that changes the shape of a chorus on the second or third listen. Beginning Is Here is the band’s first full statement.
